Okay, so I'm going to be totally INSANE (and clearly not thrifty) this year and drive from Maryland to Maine for the annual lobster bake with my grandparents and Maine relatives. Right now, the only places I have down are Six Flags in New Jersey for a day, and then Boston (to pick-up [livejournal.com profile] bittertwee), but I'd like to add maybe one or two other stops.

I'm not really a big fan of New York City, but right now I'm pondering the idea of sneaking in to go to Bobby Flay's restaurant.

So, I need some cool places to stop. It will be me, AD, and my brother.

I asked a friend of mine and he suggested going up the coast, and maybe hitting Rehoboth Beach, Mystic Seaport in Conn., and maybe Newport RI.

Don't know if that would appeal- It looks kind of museum/shops/boat oriented.

Also, have you looked at the low-budget (read: younger/more hip) travel guides like Lonely Planet? I imagine whatever there is to do, it's there.

I know you aren't fond of NYC, but has Vincent been there? If he likes Georgetown, I would think in the East and West Villages he would think he'd died and gone to heaven. Also Williamsburg- I've only seen it for a couple of minutes late at night in the rain while running between a club and the subway, but if it's anything like I imagine, he'd like that too. (moderate chance I'd join you guys if you went that route :-) but don't plan around it)

Oh, and Philly. I might have mentioned that in my email already. I know nothing about it, except that I believe it's getting "revitalized".

I'm using my Stuart icon on this post in honor of the 2 year anniversary since I last saw B&S :-(

aw, poor Stuart gets no love anymore. AD and I were talking about concerts the other night and how all the guys we like are either too expensive to see or are home making babies. :|

I'm starting to ponder the idea of Six Flags NJ, then just coming up to Boston and harassing you for a couple of days. I figure we can find stuff to check out there while you're at work, then kidnap you for the Lobster bake.

haha- Stuart gets plenty of love nowadays.. that little creep went and got married! That splat sound you might of heard a few weeks ago was me jumping off a bridge when I found out. I survived..

Just let me know when you guys are coming up, I'm pretty much up for anything. I assume Vince will be with you guys too? I was hoping that you guys would be able to test some demos at our game lab, but it looks like it won't work out. When I asked, though, I was asking about that weekend.. if you're coming up earlier in the week maybe there will still be stuff going on. Hopefully the XF movie will still be in the theaters.. Also, Pineapple Express looks like it could be good (Rogan/Apatow.. how could it be bad?). I just noticed that Clone Wars opens on the 15th.. Am I going to be dragged to that? Maybe you guys can go and I'll skip out and see Brideshead Revisited or something :-) Anyway, we can take the planning offline, I suppose..

what is this "offline" you speak of? ;-)

I will not drag you to see Clone Wars. I'm going to the toy midnight madness but I'm honestly not super-hyped about the movie. I can wait a few days to see that. WE MUST SEE XF! That I am counting on. And I do want to see Pineapple Express.

Well...see what the low down is if we show up earlier in the week. I actually took the entire week off so we could be there Tuesday night.

"offline" means online but not public. (you knew that, of course, but I just thought it was interesting). If we actually spoke on the phone (heavens!) that would be off-offline, I guess. Sort of like off-off-Broadway, but less performance arty. And meeting in person.. Wow.. maybe we should all just communicate via text for a while once you get here, to ease ourselves into it.
