TRU Midnight Madness

Amy and I went to the Midnight Madness toy release on Friday night at the Columbia Toys R Us. It was a total blast.

The trip started out with a good omen. We stopped to get some iced coffee from Dunkin Donuts and their cash register was jammed so they gave it to us for free! We got to the store around 10:30. My peeps from the DCSWCC were there, hanging out, waiting. (I believe Jay was podcasting live for Force.net). Members of the Old Line Garrison of the 501st and the Terrapin Base of the Rebel Legion were there in costume, distracting us as we waited outside. It was a gorgeous evening.

Anyway, I got a really good haul. Grabbed all the new Galactic Heroes (Slave Leia/R2-D2 w serving tray, Plo Koon/Captain Jag, Jar-Jar/Destroyer Droid, Shaak Ti/Magnaguard), 2 Galactic Heroes playsets (Jabba's palace and Assault on the Death Star), managed to find a Clone Wars Yoda, snagged the new Padme Evolutions, and gave in to temptation and bought the 40 pc. school supply set (though they cheated and counted each sticker, crayon, and pencil seperately...not really 40. Still worth it for the Yoda coin purse and Yoda notebook).

Total blast as always. Can't wait to see what sort of video Frank puts together for this one!

I loved the new Slave Leia Galactic Hero with booze serving R2. I didn't get it though. Since I was busy going crazy on the other stuff. My Toys R Us wasn't open for midnight madness so I spent mine at Walmart. But I did go up the next morning to get the Holo Grevious.. I didn't see the school supply set. I may have gotten that too. Anyway sorry to leave a novel as a note.
