*shakes fist at
colls* LOOK WHAT YOU MADE ME DO! I SIGNED UP FOR
bsg_20in20! And you stole the hotness that is Jamie Bamber! I'm going to do Grace Park because she is pretty.
Amy and I rocked out on Beatles tonight, actually played through the entire Story Mode in one sitting. Yeah, we're hardcore like that. I love the intro and outro movies to the game, just a really cool style. I would buy posters/lithographs of that artwork. I gotta work on my harmonies and guitar playing skillz. Need to see if I can get some gold stars on vocals too.
Oh, and just to prove even more that I'm horrible with dates - besides calling my mom on Friday to wish her a happy birthday (and being told her birthday is, in fact, today), I drove home from work and ran into Target looking for the new Paramore CD and I was really upset they didn't have it on the shelf. Then I drove to Wal-Mart and it wasn't there, and I asked the sales associate and he said he didn't know what they had because they don't stock the shelves. So then I called Best Buy and they knew right away that I am a moron - "The new Paramore CD comes out next week, Sept 29th," At least I was in my car, so they couldnt' see me facepalm.
But I did pick up Pearl Jam's new album Backspacer and, on impulse, I bought the Pete Yorn/Scarlett Johansen CD. Hopefully it doesn't suck (the PY/SJ CD, I know PJ will be solid).
My Star Wars club has their falls cook-out this Saturday, here's hoping the weather behaves!
I can't believe today is only Tuesday...this week is being long. For some reason I thought Monday was Thursday...blah. I should probably get to bed. But if I go to my bed, I need to read Marked by P.C. Cast because I have to read it for Books for the Beast next month...and I do not like it. It's just painfully bad. The writing is so...think "Juno" - trying SOOO hard to be hip that you know that they are clearly not cool at all. This probably wouldn't have been an issue if I had read it a few months ago, but after reading the masterpieces that were Unwind and Catching Fire, I'm having a hard time forcing myself to read something this bad. Maybe I'll put it off until next month.

Date: 2009-09-23 12:36 pm (UTC)Have fun at your cookout! I'm heading "danny-ocean-hon" since I haven't been to OC all summer. Meeting my friend there and we're going to re-enact senior week. Wish me and my liver luck!

Date: 2009-09-23 11:17 pm (UTC)Good luck! Hope the weather stays warm...though I guess swimming wasn't what you had in mind? Can you believe I've only been to Ocean City, MD for about...oh, 30 minutes? Got bored and drove to Rehobeth hehe.

Date: 2009-09-23 02:37 pm (UTC)I keep getting suggested that book by goodreads in the 'if you read...then you might like this because other people who read that seemed to read this...' section.
I am still making myself work through my library books before reading Hunger Games, but I earned a $25 gift certificate on my debit card for Barnes & Noble, so I am contemplating possible purchases. I might have to save it for a pay day or two though (because lord knows I can't JUST spend $25 if there is possible free shipping involved). I want to get my last couple car payments made before anything. haha.

Date: 2009-09-23 11:20 pm (UTC)You're probably getting them suggested to you because of all those books you bashed recently - its that level of pain. Honestly, the author is just horrible. I wish I was cool enough to name drop as much as they are in the books (standing around in Steve Madden pumps, waiting for Ashton Kutcher to call, omg this book is dated already!!!!)
Be careful on the B&N site...it is a dangerous place. But go ahead and get Hunger Games & Catching Fire...because you will love them. :D

Date: 2009-09-23 11:24 pm (UTC)I have Hunger Games...just wondering if I should use this on Catching Fire, or try and snag a copy of Unwind, or one of the other eleventy-billion books/series/madness that I have bits and pieces of. I need to get ummm the sequel to Wicked Lovely, because I liked it and have the third, but not the second! What was I thinking?!
Madness. I laugh at B&N danger! (And then whimper quietly as it crushes me mercilessly.)
