SOoooooooo the shrink came to the asylum to make sure that Kit was pinned with the murders and, as luck would have it, find his next victim! I SO wanted to believe that maybe he really did want her to "write his story"...I blame Zachary Quinto and his pretty face. He gets me ever time! At least Spock won't go evil on me...

maybedeadcat pointed out the odd similarities between this season and Girl with the Dragon Tattoo - serial killer that hunts women, Nazi tie-in, the way the "killing room" looked...I think there was a cane involved in GwaDT as well? Maybe? I dunno, but it feels like Murphy must have read the book before working on this season.

Speaking of Nazis, so I guess we are supposed to believe that Arden is Gruber. And I also assume the Monsignor is an escaped Nazi himself. I'm wondering - will Sister Jude return and get her revenge? I feel like both of these men have wronged her enough that she has earned it...but, then again, this is a horror show, so no one will get quite what they deserve.

Still no fucking clue what is up with the "alien abduction" thing. Is it the "evil" inside the one nun? Is that how it is showing itself? Who the heck IS the Bloody Face running around today???? If the show is in the early 1960s, it has to be someone young, an offspring of the characters, or one of Arden's monsters running lose.

AND SPEAKING OF - why did the Satan!Nun drop the body of the one creature into that school lot??? Is she trying to get them to storm the asylum ala Frankenstein??

SO MANY QUESTIONS! And I have a feeling only a few of them will ever be answered.

But, then again, I think we have like 7 episodes left still, so SOMETHING is going to happen...

YEESH!

OKOKOKOK YEAH.

It's just not as good as season 1, which was a soap opera. It's like, a bunch of crappy insane asylum tropes thrown together.

A concern I have about asylum in the first place is - After "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" was a big hit, mental health in the United states changed. It is a good thing that people can be treated with medication rather than locked away for life as they were back them, and certainly, lobotomies and shock therapy are no longer a thing. Today, asylums are almost non-existent. People who need long term care are just in prison or homeless; maybe because of this exact view of asylums. They wouldn't be like this today.

I do think the demons are just the aliens. Maybe its an alien possession plot, easily confused with madness.
