orangerfulPS4 was announced today, surprising no one. I'm not seeing a whole lot of
innovations here that have me excited. Looks like more of the same. The
whole idea of using the cloud for getting old games intrigues me but it
sounds sorta like what the ye-olde SEGA Channel was like way back when
(yes, I had Sega channel, it was awesome).
I think I was really surprised they didn't have anything to compete with
the Kinect. I saw an image of someone with the old PS Move remote so I
guess they are sticking with that system? Meh.
Microsoft is next up, not sure when they will announce their console. My
guess is now that they know what Sony is up to, they will plan a counter
attack LOL. I would love to see some backward compatibility for my current
games. Of course, I always say that and think I will want to replay them
only to pop an older game into the system 3 years later and shudder at the
graphics quality and loading times. We get so spoiled so fast. :)
