movie thoughts: Pitch Perfect and ParaNorman

Posterous is shutting down on April 30 so I moved my books/movie review blog over to Wordpress in the hopes that will be the LAST time I move it (this would make the third transfer LOL).

ANYHOO, posted my movie thoughts on PITCH PERFECT and PARANORMAN.

Also, I am SO SO SO HAPPY that ARGO won Best Picture tonight! I was angry that Ben Affleck didn't even get an Oscar nom for director, so I'm glad that they at least saw fit to give him the statue for best picture.

And Jennifer Lawrence. **sigh** I just adore her. I didn't get to watch, but I heard the poor girl fell up the stairs walking to the stage? I'm sure it will be all over YouTube and Tumblr tomorrow. I love her because she is a clutz and a tomboy, but she does clean up nice!

I adore Jennifer Lawrence. She's been killing it with all these awards she's been getting, and all of them are rightfully deserved too. You go, girl! So proud right now.

I just watched the interview afterwards where the reporters were asking her inane questions and she was just so hilarious. I adore her so much. I want her, Kristen Bell, Felicia Day and Anna Kendrick in a movie RIGHT NOW! (well, after KB pops out her baby)

Interesting about posterous.. I guess this proves what we were discussing the other day-- It's not so much the platform, it's who (or what crowd) ends up adopting it. I remember seeing these "tumblr vs. posterous" comparisons, and they both had advantages, but I guess posterous never found its niche. justmigrate.com ports posterous to tumblr "in just a few clicks".. I wonder if there will be an influx of olds on tumblr now. If so, good-- I'll have some peers!

Yeah, I am trying to remember why I picked posterous last time...it used to be my VOX blog, which was Six Apart's new blogging service right after they sold livejournal but than Vox was shut down when Six Apart was bought out. And Posterous did a HUGE overhall a year or two ago and turned itself into a crappy tumblr knockoff, which I think did more harm than good. Twitter bought it last year and we have all been waiting for this to happen which is probably why I stopped updating the site.

At least WordPress is still one of the top-rated blogging services out there. And it's probably good for me to get experience with it since it is what most companies use for blogs and I'm pushing the library to start a blog :)
