orangerfulBabysat again today. Took over the Muppet DVDs so I could scar - er - I mean, show them to Skylor and Snowden. I put in the Gilda Radner one cuz I remember enjoying the whole 7 foot tall talking carrot gag and I totally forgot the Witch Doctor Muppaphone song in the middle, which Skylor thought was hilarious. Children are so weird. 5 hours seems to be my max. I really start to wear down after playing with them for about 3 1/2 then I just hang in there for the rest. Usually Snowy takes her nap so that helps me cuz I just get to chill while she rids books and then gives up and goes to bed. I don't know how parents do it. I'd go insane if I had them around all the time.
It's funny cuz my mom was not into baby talk. She didn't let Vincent or me call her "mommy", she wasn't into that cutesy stuff. Skylor talks like that - all Mommy, momma, which throws me some time. I just talk to him like I talk to everybody, so I think most of the time he has no idea what I'm saying but he's happy I'm paying attention to him. Today I had energy and we played a bit, Monday I was so tired, I just sat there with the magna doodle for an hour and drew funny faces while he sang Lion King songs. insane.
Had my interview yesterday for the library. I think it went well. They said they would contact people Friday about the jobs so I'll know by Friday night if I should start looking at Target jobs. I really hope I get something. Anything. They had 7 positions, 4 of them full time, 1 job share, and 2 part time split between 2 branches. One of the branches is about 20 mins from here, which I told them would be my ideal place to work, but I'd take anything they offered. haha. Hopefully I didn't sound too desperate.
First of the last episodes of Angel aired tonight. What can I say? I'm already getting choked up. Gunn's in suburbia hell, getting his heart and who knows what else ripped out every day, Wesley is in a bottle of brandy, Harmony is....okay, well she's still harmony....the actor who played Jayne on "Firefly" showed up today, looks like he'll be around the last 5 episodes. Very cool. I'll probably cry when Angel ends. Though not in the same way as when Buffy ended. Joss ended Buffy. So that's over. Joss did not end Angel, I think there will be more to come....somehow.
I made a little buddy icon yesterday from some DVD clips. Animated and everything. Just playing around. Now I want to make a real cool one, but I'm not sure what to do. Buffy or Angel of course. Maybe I'll just make some wallpaper. With the DVD ripper, now I have too many options of what to pull from. Still need to do my Buffy/Angel/Dave Matthews video. I wrote down times today for important lyrics...now I have to cut up all the scenes and line them up. Sounds like something I should do while I'm alone so I don't drive AD crazy with Some Devil playing all the time hehe.
