We had a little bit of snow in Maryland today. Not enough to get a late
opening though, boo. I was so ready to sleep in.

Anyway, it's Friday and I don't feel like working much so I figure I'll
post a question for you all to answer so I can get some emails in my
inbox:

Who is your go-to band/musician? That band that you know every. single.
song. And when you just don't know what to listen to, they always fit the
bill.

Mine will always been The Beatles. I've loved them since 8th grade (click
on the tags to read all my rambles). I feel like there is an album for
every mood - the early ones are so poppy and fun, the middle years so wild
and weird, and then those mature later albums that are perfect for days
like today ('Because'
from Abbey Road came on my iPod this morning while driving into work and it
just felt to right with the gray skies and white snow on the ground...)

So, who is your go to band? The band that makes you only think of happy
thoughts? :)

(We'll do another post for go-to songs, those can be different bands, I
have a few of those right now haha)

FINALLY! Disney
has announced the blu-ray release date for The Little Mermaid - OCTOBER
1st!

I remember seeing this movie in the theater, rewatching it until the VHS
was ready to break, and almost bursting into tears the day my cassette type
started to wibble and wobble in my player from so much listening!

Ariel might not be my favorite Disney princess, but she was the first
princess for my generation. She was funny, smart, curious, and, above all,
brave. Her relationship with Eric might have been a bit questionable, but
you couldn't deny that desire that we all share for adventure and exploring
new places.

It was the movie that saved Disney, brought it back from just another film
studio to a maker of animated classics.

Yes, I will probably get this the day it comes out and watch it and tear
up, remembering that 8 year old girl who saw this movie and wanted to learn
to draw, to swim, to sing, to dance, and to believe in magic.

I do not wear make-up.

Yes, occasionally I'll slop some lipstick on or play with eye-liner and eye
shadow but it's because I'm in a goofy mood or going somewhere random and I
want to have blue eyelids. But day-to-day I don't wear any make-up at
all. Never got into it.

My mom used to wear make-up sometimes. I remember watching my aunt cake it
on in the morning and thinking how ridiculous it was that she just spent
all this time painting her face the exact same color it already was.

Due to my lack of make-up skills though, when I do decide to apply it, I
can tend to look a bit like a clown LOL. :)
