He roxors my soxors.
Is it 5pm yet?? I want to see the pretty pictures!
edit damian got one, so I got one too My MySpace.
I still don't get it. What am I supposed to do with it? Muscians can upload music, can I upload music?
OMG there is this really annoying woman here right now. She's got like a 2 or 3 year old with her and she's forcing her to play on the computer. It's just so frustrating! I'm sure that little girl would be much happier if her grandma offered to read to her! But no. She's attempting to explain to a child who can hardly speak that she needs to sit still and press buttons to play a game that she is hardly interested in.
And then when the grandma tried to sign on and realized she needed a library card, she complained about that. Then she proceeded to tell us that you don't have to do that at Provinces down the road, which is untrue. Don't argue with us, we frickin' work her.
Anyway, this is NOT what a library is for. Buy your kids a damn PS2 and use the computers for real information. Or at least go to PBS Kids where they can learn something. Especially if they are little. They'll have plenty of time to rot their brains when they are old enough to SPELL cartoonnetwork.com.
*stabs PCs*
Oh great, now their getting DVDs. Grandma is a great babysitter. The little girl just wants some attention, she's following the other little girls around.
I also overheard a sister telling her younger sister to "not get so many books, you look like a geek." To which the sister replied "well, I have a couple DVDs". *headdesk* Be a geek and proud girl!

Date: 2005-08-05 04:26 am (UTC)Yeah, that grandma was really ruffling my feathers. Her little granddaughter was pulling books off the shelves in an obvious attempt to get someone to read to her, and the grandma kept yelling at her to put them back or they would leave. *headdesk*
I was sitting there with my LotR datebook, my geek pride shines on there.
OH! and get this, a little boy came in looking for books on 'Wonder Woman'! Because he heard about the movie! I just thought that was so cool, he couldn't have been more than 10.

Date: 2005-08-06 07:50 pm (UTC)I pretty much keep my profile on MySpace so that I can keep in touch with some of my RL friends that I'm sure I would've lost contact with if it weren't for MySpace. Personally, I don't even really have time to read everyone's Blogs or Bulletins, but whenever I log on, I try to nose around a little. :) The only drawback that I've really encountered is that I keep getting these Friend Requests from people I don't know and/or haven't even taken the time to even say hello. (There seems to be a lot of users that just like people collecting so that they have f-lists that contain hundreds of 'friends'. o.O)
*sighs* I understand that sometimes there isn't time for another book, but to just go to the library to force a computer on your granddaughter just baffles me. I would've been grumbling the whole time she was there. ¬_¬
Yay for geeks! I've never been anything but... :D Heh,
I keep forgetting about the Wonder Woman movie! Did they ever decide on who's going to be cast for the lead? That's so cool that little boy is open to a female superhero. See, geekery = open-mindedness and not succumbing to society's standards. :D Now, to work on my son... I think he already knows that Leia kicks major butt... :D
