orangerfulSo we had our programming meeting today at the library and I have sorta volunteered myself to do a Young Adult program in August - the theme? MySpace, blogging, and personal websites. So now I need to figure out exactly what I want to focus on. And I have to write a blurb for our library happenings...which is due March 1st. So, blurb first, program later!
I figure I'll focus on MySpace, since that's the hot thing right now, but also mention Livejournal, Xanga, MSN Spaces, and anything else? I want to give them tips on customization while sliding in some safety tips. Or something. I dunno. I might have bitten off more than I can chew. I just need to pick something to focus on. I was thinking about the whole personalizing component so I can plug the HTML books we have in the branch. But if any of you that are more familiar with MySpace have ideas, let me know! Is it just basic HTML that is used to edit backgrounds? I still haven't figure out how to do that. I also need to learn about the privacy features that are set up on there....
That was about it for today. I finished my "In Charge" training so now I can be in charge starting in March. Crazy, huh?
Aaaaaaand yeah. Tuesdays are long days. I am sleepy.
