seriously, have they even READ the books? How can anyone take this pope seriously if he decides to wage war on a children's book? a bestselling children's series???? Aren't there more EVIL books lurking around for him to pick on? COME ON!

Christians really need to look at what they're condemning. I'm not the authority on this, but if you're not going to condemn JRR Tolkien, CS Lewis, and Stephen R. Lawhead (who you probably haven't heard of because he's almost exclusively sold in Christian stores), then you can't condemn Harry Potter on the magic argument alone.

Exactly. Since when has magic been taboo in Christian literature? Did Rowling wrong this pope in some way that he's on some sort of personal vendetta to stop people from reading HP?

And is anyone actually listening to this nutcase? Shouldn't he be out helping the poor or visiting third world countries instead of sitting at home and complaining about a children's series?
