I did some Inktober doodles last year and it was really fun to draw again. I'm not an artist, by any stretch, just someone who liked to doodle in the margins of my notebooks and try to copy Disney artwork when I was a kid (mostly be staring at a picture and hoping I could draw it magically).

Anyhoo, I think I'm going to try to doodle again this October. The first week, we will be in Canada, but it might be a nice way to unwind at the end of the day.

This was the first image that popped into my head...clearly inspired by that moment in Disney's Snow White where she eats the apple and we just see it fall from her hand afterward.

I told my brother about Inktober and he sent me a random sketch for today's theme and it was almost the exact same image - hand, bottle. Sibling brainwaves, am I right?

One of my twitter friends was very worried when he saw this. He was like "are you okay???" but that at least made me feel like my drawing skills were decent enough!

I used to doodle all the time when I was a kid. Drawing, like so many other things, was a great way to exercise my mind and feel good about the finished product.

Of course, then I encountered people with natural talent and it made me embarrassed and I kinda stopped doodling in public.

BUT NOT ANYMORE!

I'm not that great, but I want to start working on drawing again, if only to amuse myself. So here is my first drawing for Inktober2017:

The themes were "swift" and "divided" but my brain just came up with this. I'm sure if you stare at it long enough, the themes fit. :P

Tomorrow is POISON and I already have an idea...here's hoping I can get the picture in my brain onto paper!

Sylvia gave me a notebook so we are doodling #phineas

Sylvia was very generous and bought me a Twilight Sparkle notebook so we spent an hour or so doodling on Sunday afternoon. I managed to Google an image of Phineas and do a pretty decent replica on paper! Maybe all hope is not lost for my old drawing skills. :)

Played with my art set last night while sitting in bed and listening to Book of Blood and Shadow. Just doodling, trying to just draw and not think too much.

I drew Lumpy Space Princess :-D omg I'm having so much fun

This is about my skill level LOL. Still, it was fun to doodle again. :)

I was thinking the other day about how I used to draw all the time as a kid but I stopped around 7th grade because of so many reasons (mostly the "i'm not good enough" excuse). Anyway, I felt like I needed to do something creative in my spare time, just for fun and was thinking of doodling again. I tried looking for sites with drawing prompts and found one on tumblr and then I got my Amazon Vine email and there was a gorgeous Crayola art kit so I nabbed that.

It arrived today, btw, and it is sooooo pretty:
