Bob's Burgers finale was tonight and it had a musical number. <3 I really wish they would just release an album. There were rumors one was on the way in 2014 and then nothing.

And now I was distracted for 15 minutes trying to find out more about the album, ending up on the Bob's Burger twitter page, downloading gifs...sigh, the internet is such a rabbit hole.

I finished watching Season 2 of Kimmy Schmidt which was better than Season 1 but still not perfect. My favorite episodes were the ones with Tina Fey but I love Tina Fey on my TV. And I really liked Titus' arc this season too. This show does work better as a streaming show than a regular TV show though, not sure I would tune in each week but I don't mind just watching them while I'm bumming around.

Also, Kimmy ends up at Universal Studios, Florida in the last episode and OMG I WILL BE THERE SOON! TWO MORE WEEKS! I NEED A VACATION!

We finished Season 3 of The Americans and need to start Season 4. Hopefully FXNOW still has all the episodes. It was quite a cliffhanger but that show is SO DAMN HEAVY I have to take a break for a bit.

This season of Archer is off to a better start than the last two but still missing...something. I just don't find myself laughing out loud as much (though the episode before last was pretty damn hilarious and might be my favorite so far this season, probably because the entire cast was involved).

OH I finally saw Captain America: Civil War. I've been commenting on a lot of people's posts. I'm not a huge Marvel fangirl, but the movie had received such rave reviews I wanted to see it on the big screen plus we had a gift card. cut for spoilers as I ramble... )

Yesterday I watched 'Steve Jobs' with Michael Fassbender, Kate Winslet, Seth Rogen and Jeff Daniels, directed by Danny Boyle and the script by Aaron Sorkin. I could not take my eyes off the screen. I seriously thought I would just put it on and maybe hang out, play on my iPad but as soon as it started (I don't even think there were credits, it just starts) I was entranced. Definitely lots of artistic license taken, think of it less as a biopic and more like a play about Steve Jobs that tries to condense his life into 3 big events.

It was REALLY good. Like, I can't decide if I should give it 4 or 5 stars good.

Oh, and of course, Game of Thrones was on last night.
obviously spoilers )

Anyone else watch anything good this weekend? My shows are wrapping up so it will be time to find some "summer shows" soon.

Another weekly post I'm trying to bring back! Here's what I've watched recently. Spoilers will be under cuts, you have been warned.

Every since Hulu added the Adult Swim shows to their line-up we have been binge watching Sealab 2021 with dinner. The guys who created that show went on to do Archer so we kind of had to. Plus, Tim had seen it way back when it first aired and so I needed to see it too. It's so wrong and so right.

We also watched a couple episodes of Robot Chicken which still cracks me up. OH and Hulu is getting Seinfeld which I had not seen in years and this week they have been putting up one episode a day in preparation for the big launch so we randomly watched that with dinner. Still funny.

We're almost done with Season 3.5 of Eureka. I really am enjoying this series, I'm so sad I missed it when it was on. Great characters, fun stories. This show was a bit ahead of its time, I bet a network now would pick it up to promote all the STEM aspects LOL. It's been a nice way to fill the void of Psych - I feel like the two shows are all about relationships and quirky characters with a little mystery of the week. Eureka is just more science-y.

Watched Hannibal on Sunday:
Um, yeah, this isn't my first rodeo Bryan Fuller, I saw the whole Abigail isn't real thing as soon as she walked in the room. I didn't mind though, while it is a frequently abused trope, I think it worked. I think Will knew the whole time that she wasn't really there. But without the stag, he needed something else in his subconscious to represent the part of him that still cares about Hannibal.

The scene with the "human heart" and it unfolding...eeeeeeeew! I did cover my eyes for much of that. A lot of that actually. I think I had my eyes covered more this episode than the premiere.

I feel like these first two episodes were slow but necessary. And now we have the story of Hannibal terrorizing Italy for awhile. Flashbacks? Or just a reason I need to read the other books in the series? I'm happy that Will made the detective leave.

Caught up on Game of Thrones as well
I haven't read the books so I didn't know about Jon Snow (though some asshole on Facebook posted the spoiler in the comments, but it was so over the top I assumed it was a lie). Anyway, didn't see that coming! We are rapidly running out of characters that were even IN the first season.

Cersei, you may have been a queen that rule with an iron fist while on an iron throne, but your crazy cannot compare to a crazy that is based out of religion. That entire sequences was disturbing to watch, and I know that was the point. But her wrath will be great.

So...is the Mountain a White Walker or a whole new kind of zombie?

I felt the finale was actually sort of...meh. Stuff happened, but I didn't feel like anyone really knew what the hell they were going to do next season! WRITE MARTIN WRITE!

I finally got a copy of Whiplash from the library so hopefully we will watch that this weekend since we don't have GoT. We also plan on watching JAWS on Saturday night because Carol and Sylvia have never seen it. Sylvia I can forgive, she's 13, but Carol...tsk tsk. Cannot wait to watch that movie, love it so much!

**Phew** got this post done before midnight so it's on the correct date LOL. TOODLES!

We watched the first episode of Daredevil tonight. I liked it a lot. Tim was unimpressed but he has never been into the superhero genre anyway. He did say he would go see Avengers: Age of Ultron with me though.

The last episode of Justified is on now...won't be able to watch it until tomorrow. I have no freaking idea how this is all gonna end. I did put copies of Elmore Leonard's book Raylan on display at work today as a nod to all the fans in the library lol.

Speaking of library stuff, I had a visit with a 5th grade class on Monday, told them about homework help and other fun stuff the library had available to them. That very same afternoon, one of the students came into the library to check out some of the materials I talked about! Always makes me feel SO good to see results that quickly.

We did watch Game of Thrones on Sunday. As usual, lots of stuff being set up, not sure what the hell is going to happen next, sighed heavily when the credits began to roll. Orphan Black is back this weekend, OMG, another show where 45 minutes goes by way to fast!!

Downloaded the free game from Xbox this month, Child of Light. It's not at all what I expected but I am really enjoying it so far. VERY pretty and more challenging than I thought!

Also, HI NEW FRIENDS! :D I am usually more coherent but I am tired today. Haven't gone to bed at a decent hour all week after sleeping in for a week because of the Wisconsin trip.

Time to play Hammerwatch with Tim and Casey! :D Our weekly game nights are back on, huzzah!

I will leave you with a rare picture of a wild Sam...

GoT ya
