Finally watched Kill the Moon and...I dunno, I think I might be done with Doctor Who. It wasn't a bad episode, but it felt like ground we had already covered multiple times with 10 and 11. I have the next episode ready to watch but I'm just sorta..meh about it.

On the other hand, I did keep going with SHIELD (had it on in the background while running around in Final Fantasy) and I feel like it's setting up some interesting plot lines.

OAUT is still just a show. Not compelling enough for me to get excited about but it makes for good breakfast watching.

And coming completely out of left field, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles SHOCKED me with a twist ending. I was not expecting so many feels from a Nickelodeon cartoon!

...er, I guess Korra is back too? Haven't watched any of the new episodes yet. Whoops.

Finally watchined "A Magical Place" and "Seeds" last night, which means I am caught up on "Agents of SHIELD" for at least another week.

So, I never was 100% what the explanations for Coulson's return would be but I was surprised by how straight-forward it was. Well, in a way. We know he did, in fact, die, and it took SHIELD at least 7 operations to get him fully-functioning again. Of course, the questions of WHY go through all of this for one man and have they used this technology again still linger. I'm wondering if it will tie into the movies at all.

That being said, the reveal moment, where we seen Coulson on the table, his brain exposed and being "reprogrammed" by the medical droid, was HIGHLY disturbing. Hearing him say "Please let me die"...shivers.

And, like any good Whedon series, the repercussions of this moment are being felt in the next few episodes. When Coulson reveals to Skye everything he knows about her past...powerful moment from both of them. And then when he admits that he did it to Melinda, pretty much saying he knew it would destroy Skye but he wanted to tell her and he was surprised by how Skye embraced the news and used it to reinvent herself in that moment. It was a dick move on his part that just happened to turn out for the best, and he knows that.

And poor Mike. He survived the blast, but not intact. Will the Clairvoyant grant him a new leg somehow, making him indebted to his/her service? That character has taken a beating all season. I'm sorta hoping that he becomes a full-on regular by the end of Season 1. That, or he is going to die for real. :-\

I think these last 3-4 episodes have been the strongest of the season. I feel like the Team has finally come together, and with the reveals in these two episodes, we have already answered some of the big questions, but there are still plenty to figure out. I know the show has been picked up for a full season and I am hoping that by the end of Season 1 it goes from a "oh hey, there's a SHIELD in my Hulu queue" show to a "OMG SHIELD WAS ON LAST NIGHT MUST WATCH NOW!" show.

Also, I need to make some new icons for my NEW shows!!!!! I will add that to my to-do list.
