Spent the evening making a new background for my new phone. Of course it has to be The Expanse!



This is just my home screen, not sure what I want to put on my lock screen. Maybe just a nice image of the Roci. Though I wish there was a good hi-res shot of Bobby and Avasarala I could use. I love the Roci crew, but there are lots of awesome character elsewhere in the 'verse too!

I found a site that has all the iPhone measurements too so I am going to make something for my Mom's phone since she tweeted at me that "if she knew how" she would have The Expanse on her phone.

But now it is bedtime for sure!

Veronica Mars was sooo good tonight. That is all I will say for now, as I know SOME people haven't watched it yet...and need to...right away.

Anyway, hi-res scans of Kristen Bell in 'Geek Monthly' were up at kristen bell :: online so I snagged a couple and made some new desktops and a banner. I am so tempted to change my layout yet again just to use this banner. I'm quite happy with it (plus Kristen and Star Wars? If some sort of Joss Whedon related thing could just stumble into that picture, I'd be in some kind of nerd-vana)

4 wallpapers I made today while trying to pretty up my screen. Be warned, they are for 900x1440 - tres big. If there's one that you are like "OMG SO PRETTY" and want me to resize it, let me know and I'll try. :)

attempting to change my banner and page setup. Made a whole new banner with Kristen Bell (we've already watched 2 full discs of VM season 2 so she's kind of on my mind). Found this cute progression of shots of her playing with bubble gum and became inspired!

And, once again, even though I barely listen to Ani Difranco, I've gone with lyrics from her song "Fire Door" to decorate the banner and name my journal haha. She's so highly quotable even if I only know a handful of songs.

I'm having a bit of trouble finding colors that flow but oh well. It's bedtime now!

Oh! I made a wallpaper to go with the banner (that was actually what I started making then got distracted), if you're at all interested. :D The wallpaper has a different quote - Joss' classic.

I just spent about...oh, 45 minutes scouring teh interweb for hi-res Superman/Brandon Routh images. I have quite a few now, thanks to discovering routh_daily...quite a few. So, since both toothlesshag and destertale seemed keen on the idea of shiny wallpapers, I will be working on a few of those now.

So before I hop off to bed, I give you a quick midnight creation:

Hm...I watched 'Serenity' yet somehow I ended up making icons from the X3 trailer...huh, go figure!

I fixed my site too, so hopefully all those hotlinkers are screwed now. *crosses fingers* Honestly, what a lame hobby. At least my lame hobby is making icons, they are lamer, they don't even actually make them, they just steal them.

yes I'm still bitter.

*sigh* I don't know why I make these wallpapers...they really are tricky buggers. But I enjoy the hi-res images so. Seems silly to waste them on teeny-tiny icons. Plus, braggadocio_org just posted these perfect brushes today and yesterday I raided the iconistas memories and found a ton of huge textures so I had to give it a try again. Here are my efforts:





I'm going to re-do the amy one because jimithingy just suggested some far better text. I hate text. But it needs it.

oh, and thanks to everyone for all the "good lucks" and "you can do its" - I did as blu_harvest suggested and mentally pictured my own personal cheering section before going into my interview. I'll know how it all went by next Wednesday.

I just made an insanely simple Summer Glau wallpaper but after I set it as my personal desktop it lost it's prettiness cuz I have so much clutter on there! haha. Oh well. I'm so happy with it! Even though it took absolutely no talent at all! Wonder if there are more photos from this shoot....

inspired by how that one turned out, I also made one with alyison hannigan (willow). I just downloaded the brush sets made by twistedswanton and I'm addicted to them. I must put them on everything!!!!

Kind of a random day - worked at the library from 1-5, it was pretty busy so time went by fast enough. Had an urge for Chipotle after work, so I went to the brand new one across the street from the library....well sorta across the street...it was on my way...okay, it was a slight detour, but it was worth it!!!

Then I came home and played some WoWz. Little Inara finally leveled up to 40 but she's too broke to actually buy a mount. Heck, she can barely afford the training to learn how to ride one in the first place! So I'm thinking I'll just take my time gathering money and try to build up my reputation in Ironforge, see if I can't get a Ram instead of a robot chicken. jimithingy cheated, as Aaylla is a palladin and they don't have to buy mounts, they just get a spell to conjure one! SO not fair.

Um...yeah that was pretty much my whole day right there. Not really the most exciting day ever, but it was a sunday and one should never do too much on a sunday.

Uuuuuh so, yeah, that's really all i have to say right now haha. I have a 4 hour shift tomorrow, which will either be hopping or dead...if it's dead, expect another strange, nostalgic post from me to prompt responses from you. hehe. Possibly focusing on Nintendo this time around....or Disney showtunes....I haven't decided yet.
