tv thoughts: Lost & Heroes
Mar. 11th, 2009 09:19 pmLost is just getting ridiculously frustrating. The writing is just ridiculous. At the start of this episode, I thought I saw a glimmer of hope, but no, it was just a cruel cruel joke...
When I saw the text "three years later" I was so relieved that they weren't going to torture us by making us sit through their introduction to the others. And as the scene progressed I was like "great, finally, some action, some intrigue, some...LaFleur?". Still, as the scene unfolded, I was happy that they had made this decision to let us infere that they joined the Dharma group and worked for them and...
"three years earlier"
OH WTF!!!!!!!!!!! *bangs head against desk and watches the Captain Obvious show* (made worse by the fact they showed the "three years ___" text every time they switched! Sawyer shaves in the future, we get it, move on and stop wasting precious seconds with that black screen of boring!)
There was no point in showing me all that crap they showed me. The biggest thing was them meeting up with Man-with-the-eternal-eyeliner from the Others and asking him about Jughead. That was the ONLY important moment in that flashback thing. WHICH could have been covered at a later date in a flashback...or something.
*sigh* remember season 1 of lost? When things weren't as painful?
Also, the scientists concern for Charlotte is going to be very Renesme (yeah Twihards, I don't read the books but I still reference them). Though you'll notice he was absent in the flash-forward segment.
oh yay, Kate's back...with Jack...and Sawyer. This won't cause needless drama. How about SHE gets over THEM now, that would be a twist.
Sorry, this show is like beyond help. I watch it to complain. I just want to see what happens to Jin, Sawyer, Desmond, and...yeah that's about it now.
Speaking of not moving the plot forward at any sort of speed, we watched Heroes last night...
First of all, MASSIVE LULZ from the fact that Sylar's father is Lex Luthor's father. I saw his name in the credits and started to giggle before he even turned around (MARYLANDERS REPRESENT - John Glover is from Salisbury)
Uuuuuh what else happened...hm...yeah...that's almost about it. Angela slurped up some raw oysters (and since I know that raw oysters are an aphrodisiac, I yelled for the evil-bald-dude to RUN!!!!!)
Claire got a job at the comic shop which is a nice set-up at least...though that phone call to her dad was pretty worthless. I got more out of the moment between her and the nerd when he said "Flying or invisibility?"
So, after the evil-bald-dude shoved Nathan out the window, I think Bennet should have shoved him out after him (and screamed Master Shake's immortal line - You think you know so much, let's see how much your ass knows about FLYIN'!!!" (fast forward to the cliff at the end to hear them).
Oh, and
jimithingy told me he thinks that Rebel is Micah, and it's really the only thing that makes sense. Problem is, won't be be suffering from the same issues as Walt on LOST - how many years have passed in the Heroes-verse vs. our time? Micah's gonna be like 25 now. But I would rather it was Micah than a whole new character. Because we all know how whole new characters go on this show (iz ded).
Clearly, I am no longer watching these shows in the right mind-set. I just can't take them seriously because the writing has been so "meh" this season. You can see they have a grand plan for ONE episode, so they spend 3-4 trying to GET to that episode. Next week's better be good!!!!
(also I appear to have lost the ability to remember anyone but the main character's names...)

I DID NOT KNOW THIS!
I saw his name in the credits and like, I recognized it but could not remember who he was!
lol idg why they keep going 'OMG GIRLS DON'T READ COMICS OMG', acting like its the weirdest thing they've ever seen. Haha I feel like its like "I don't care if you can heal and have abilities WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING IN THIS STORE?? IT GOES AGAINST NATURE!!!1"
I totally expected Bennet to push him out too! Or at least do something to him.

lol!
I think Rebel is Micah too. How else would he be able to know where everyone is and do the text messaging. Totally gotta be Micah.
I want to watch Lost, but I am seasons behind and I'm so confused with all this new time travelling crap, and then the new guys from last season and all this Desmond stuff. I can't keep track of it all if I don't start from the beginning lol
I do miss Season 1. I miss Charlie. And Charlie/Claire. And Boone. And Shannon omg T_T

YOU ARE SO RIGHT!!!
Don't bother with LOST. Just keep those good seasons in your mind...when it ends, go back and rent the episodes people say were actually important. Save you some headache.

Date: 2009-03-13 12:44 am (UTC)Omg speaking of Smallville down there, I'm watching it now (waiting for Spn). I haven't watched it from the beginning, but I like to watch it now on occasion, just for all the hotness *_* Mainly Sam Witwer. I have no idea what is going on plot-wise, but I guess I don't want to lol
Ew, also, Tori Spelling is in this episode. My brother was just like 'She looks like a tranny!!'
