Welp, our computers at work continue to be screwed. They do have someone working on it all though, but we are discouraged from logging in to a wired device while at work until they have definitely cleaned everything. Which means I don't get to sneak a peak at LJ/DW like I usually do when I have a few minutes of down time and need to relax. So I got a little bit behind this week, just did a speed read of everyone's posts but sorry if I didn't comment.

And because of the computers being down, they haven't said anything about the job I interviewed for. Cue me going CRAZY wondering! Honestly, it was stressing me out so much this week I kinda made myself sick on Thursday. I don't know how to feel about it all, but I'm afraid to start planning stuff for work because what if I got it?? That would mean I would need to switch gears and start training other staff to do my jobs...and it all boils down to the fact that HR can't email out the rejection noticed because email is compromised. :|

And now for something completely different -- Anyone play DON'T STARVE TOGETHER and want to team up? We used to play the game on our group game night but now that our friend got a new job (yay for him!) we had to cancel our game nights. Tim has been playing Star Citizen with some new online friends but i honestly cannot stand that game so I was hoping to start playing but I'm too shy to just jump in to a bunch of randos. I'm honestly not that good at the game so I don't want to get in trouble. Let me know if you would be interested!

Aaaaand it's almost 11. I'm going to read for a bit and then pass out because today was a day and this week has been a week. Toodle pip!

Had to pass on the house. While we knew a counter offer was coming, they went up $18,000 from our offer (because we asked for closing cost help), which was too much and after doing some calculations, there was no way we could take that on. We really liked the house, but it wasn't perfect (I mean, there was no fridge or washer/dryer plus mysterious water in the basement).

Oh well! My mantra tonight has been: Better to be depressed for a day than broke for 30 years!

In other news, we made it to day 24 on Don't Starve before freezing to death!



So now that we have the hang of surviving until winter, who wants to give me winter time tips? (I'm looking at you teaandfailure)

WOW! Now that I have SO MANY active friends on livejournal again I have to remember to set aside the time to read my flist on a daily basis. Just spent over an hour trying to get through the weekend! I read everything, even if I didn't comment.

Somehow managed to lose all of my nights this week, but since we were off yesterday for the holiday and it is my Saturday to work, I plan on sleeping in on Friday to recover any lost Zzzzzs. Tomorrow I have to go in early for the Babies program and Thursday I will be at the middle school from 10am-3pm talking about summer activities at the library and then booktalking some of my favorite books NOT on the official summer reading list...because I am a REBEL! Plus, the more suggestions you can give people, the better!

We played Hammerwatch tonight and have now gone through the entire game once. As luck would have it Don't Starve Together is supposed to come out next week!!! Cannot wait to play that with Tim and Casey. Should be a very different experience from the more action oriented games we have played together previously. (Tim is my boyfriend and Casey is our friend that lives in California. We try to game together every Tuesday night.)

I deleted my Assassin's Creed Unity save last night and started over from scratch. I hadn't played since November (when Dragon Age Inquisition came out, I dropped everything for that game) so I had forgotten everything, all the story and, more importantly, all of the controls! I wasn't that far in, only 16% completion, so I figured starting over would be the best. Forgot that the first hour of the game is cut scenes (at least it felt that way). But now I'm back and Arno is running around Paris like a dork in his bright green outfit that I picked out for him.

And now to bed! Because I need to be ready to be bright and bubbly for the babies and parents tomorrow morning. TTFN.
