Went to the DCSWCC meeting and got my copy of Dollhouse from Jeff. The lenticular letter inside is pretty cool and ridiculous at the same time. I've got #142.

If you click through to the rest of the photos, you'll see the Adam Baldwin autograph up close, my Buffy Season 8 Gelaskin on my iPhone (so sexy) and lots of other random swag that I took from the free table that was brought back from SDCC.

I really want to go next year! Jeff said he reserved his hotel in December, January at the latest. So I think Dragon*Con will be the test and if I survive that, and feel like I can take it to the next level of crazy, I'll try go get passes to Comic Con 2010.

Oh, [livejournal.com profile] faeriesfolly - I snagged some True Blood handouts (go to my flickr page and you will see). I think I can scan the one postcard to create a Tru Blood label for some SOBE bottles so we can haz props!

Not that I have any extra money to spend right now (must be good, save it for Dragon*Con...must be good...), I had to share these new items coming soon:

Pictures have surfaced of the next Star Wars Galactic Heroes Cinema Scene - Jabba's Sail Barge. They had me at "Max Rebo".

[livejournal.com profile] dexterette, you probably already know this but I just in case, Entertainment Earth has an exclusive Dexter "Dark Avenger" action figure. He's creepy has hell, so I thought you would like him, LOL!

I think I posted about this before, but just in case you missed it - Boomer and Athena will be the next figure set coming in the BSG line. I think they look pretty good.

In true Diamond Select Toy fashion, the BSG line that was supposed to be out...ooh, I dunno, April?...has once again been pushed back, this time until June. My guess is that it will be bumped until September so the credit card will get charged right when I'm at Dragon*Con....

Um...what???

They are bringing back the Yoda backpack? Oh wait, not quite, this backpack makes it look like Yoda is trying to strangle you, where as mine is Yoda IN the backpack...mine is still better.

This would be cool if 1) it wasn't Boba Fett (no offense, but I'm not into the cult of Fett) and 2) I didn't know Starbuck would knock it down immediately, probably taking my monitor with it. But otherwise, cool!

OMG want!!!! I have such a weakness for bobble-head Yoda's and this one is ADORABLE!

Oh MAN! I might need to get this one...I'll take it to work to hide it from Starbuck!

Well, this got out of control...I probaby should just pre-order the Yodas now...and Boomer...probably have enough to get free shipping...

Not only will the Beatles Rock Band game be out in September, but Apple Corps/EMI just announced they are putting out all of the Beatles' albums in a newly remastered collection. SCORE! I will be getting this.

In other news, FOX News fires a stupid person - no one is surprised or feels pity. What exactly did he think would happen???

Silent Hill is getting a remake, but it's only going to be on the PS2, PSP, and Wii...so I guess they are not going for the pretty. I never got around to playing the original SH so I will probably give this a try and freak myself out, like ya do.

My brother came over tonight, since he's on spring break this week. Being the wild and crazy people we are, we had a few drinks and played Lord of the Rings Trivial Pursuit (DVD Version). Yeah, you try saying "Isildur" when you're a lightweight like me. Or recalling the name of some random sword after you've just chugged a Bloody Mary made by AD. It was fun, but I have to say that the Trivial Pursuit DVDs are weak compared to Scene It. Wonder if there is another expansion pack for that game...

Last night I finally opened my "Amidala Fashion Doll Set" that I bought at Disneyworld. Let me tell you, they clearly did not make these for real children. First, everything is so TINY! Second, getting her head off was damn near impossible. I was so scared I was going to break her neck. Eventually, I got it to come apart and managed to shove her into the dress from the Naboo picnic but it took awhile. She's cute but I'm scared to change her outfits too much because of how difficult it is to change the heads.

And why is it that I actually went to bed early last night (12:30am) and slept the whole night, only to wake up more exhausted than I was the day before when I woke up after tossing and turning for hours????? Blurgh.

Ah well, time for a couple more "Big Bang Theory" episodes, then off to bed! Toodles!

Electric Tiki Willow has finally arrived!!! Though I think I may have to re-arrange my entire toy collection to get her into a safe place, away from jumping kitties because if she falls she will break.

I might try to empty out my Star Wars cabinet and turn that into a Buffy cabinet...or something. She should fit inside there, no trouble.

Of course, then where do my Galactic Heroes go???

Hm....

Only $299 ($199 at Wal-Mart online....)

Come on, my little nephew would want to live with us if we had this toy. SO ADORABLE!

There's also a pony but for some reason it freaks me out. Kota reminds me of the triceratops in Jurassic Park....

So, when I bought the first wave of Battlestar Galactica figures, the special figures was Chief Tyrol and you could get him for "free" from Time & Space Toys by purchasing a $100 gift card. I went for it because there were no other Chief figures out there.

Well, this next wave of figures also includes a special T&ST exclusive...it's Admiral Adama WITH A MUSTACHE.

Yeah, I think I'm gonna pass since clean shaved Adama is in the regular set (which also includes Roslin, Lee in a suit, and Admiral Cain).

Hm...I still need to pre-order Sharon/De'Anna and Apollo/Dualla. I'm not super impressed with Dualla's face sculpt, but I do like Lee in his blues, and same for the Sharon face sculpt, but I think Deanna looks pretty darn good.

Hasbro is putting out a new line of "Stocking Stuffer" Galactic Heroes for this holiday season. Nothing too elaborate, but they are ADORABLE! Of course, putting a droopy Santa hat on any robot makes them hard to resist. Here's a picture of just one of the 4 different sets:

So I was bad today and got two Happy Meals for my late lunch break. I was hungry and my eyes are bigger than my stomach. Don't worry, I didn't eat them both...just both the burgers and some of the fries.

And, another reason I don't go to Vegas, I got duplicates! Ah well, I shall trade in the extra Padme next time I'm at a McDs. I did get the Stormtrooper in the AT-AT and let me tell you HE IS AWESOME! He is not just a bobblehead - oh no - he is also a windup toy! So the AT-AT walks and his head goes "bobble bobble". Adorable.

Okay, time to have some hamburger helper than finish homework so I can party tomorrow with [livejournal.com profile] cheshire_c

Look, I think it's cool that Universal and Fox have allowed different companies to make some unique Firefly/Serenity merchandise but I have one teensy weensy little request:
CAN YOU PLEASE COMPLETE THE CREW IN AT LEAST ONE FORMAT BEFORE MAKING A NEW ONE!!!!!!!!

I mean, Little Damn Heroes anime Kaylee is adorable and all but I don't want to buy her and have that be it for the set. The PVC figure set with Mal, Jayne, and River was awesome -- how about you make me a Kaylee, Zoe, Wash, Simon, and Book in that size/shape/quality? Or, I dunno, finish the action figure line that came out when Serenity was released! Those toys sold out pretty quickly, you cannot deny that people want them! (the $80 fugly statues do NOT count as part of this line as they are over-priced and not as cool because I cannot play with them)

Blurgh

Amy and I went to the Midnight Madness toy release on Friday night at the Columbia Toys R Us. It was a total blast.

The trip started out with a good omen. We stopped to get some iced coffee from Dunkin Donuts and their cash register was jammed so they gave it to us for free! We got to the store around 10:30. My peeps from the DCSWCC were there, hanging out, waiting. (I believe Jay was podcasting live for Force.net). Members of the Old Line Garrison of the 501st and the Terrapin Base of the Rebel Legion were there in costume, distracting us as we waited outside. It was a gorgeous evening.

Anyway, I got a really good haul. Grabbed all the new Galactic Heroes (Slave Leia/R2-D2 w serving tray, Plo Koon/Captain Jag, Jar-Jar/Destroyer Droid, Shaak Ti/Magnaguard), 2 Galactic Heroes playsets (Jabba's palace and Assault on the Death Star), managed to find a Clone Wars Yoda, snagged the new Padme Evolutions, and gave in to temptation and bought the 40 pc. school supply set (though they cheated and counted each sticker, crayon, and pencil seperately...not really 40. Still worth it for the Yoda coin purse and Yoda notebook).

Total blast as always. Can't wait to see what sort of video Frank puts together for this one!

Here are a handful of photos I took. I look like a crazy fangirl but I was having a total blast. :)

So, I wasn't sure if I was going to attend a Midnight Madness for the new line of Clone Wars figures...that is, until I found out there would be NEW Galactic Heroes. So, of course, now I must go. Not sure which Toys R Us it will be but the group is leaning towards Columbia. Apparently if you spend $30 (that's easy) you get a free holographic Grievous figure.

Hasbro has posted 2 pdf guides -- one for the July 26 release, and one as a Fall preview.

I managed to find the Hoth and Naboo TRU Exclusives today, plus the Mighty Muggs Indiana Jones (I passed on Mola Ram and the Sword guy...they were cool but unnecessary). I need to order the Cantina Band & Mos Eisley exclusive sets from Wal-Mart before they sell out! *sigh* I clearly suck at saving money. :\
orangerful: (star wars figures // spitefairy)
Apollo and Starbuck have successfully found my desk and my BSG mini-mates have taken a hit. The worst part is that now that they have been knocked out of place I can see how DUSTY my desk is...now I must wipe it down. Not sure if I should re-locate the figures until they are done exploring my desktop or what.
orangerful: (Indy IV // orangerful)
OMG I HAZ INDIANA JONES FIGURES NOW!!!!!!!!!

So cute!

I also have "Taters of the Lost Ark" - his hat play the Indy theme. SO ADORABLE!

Once I get over the fangirling and open them, I shall post pictures.
orangerful: (indy ride // orangerful)
FYI: For any of you planning on collecting Indiana Jones action figures, the street date is May 1st. A few of my DCSWCC buddies in the area have already managed to raid the local targets, but the boxes are clearly marked for May 1st. I'm not sure if this applies to the Action Heroes (aka really adorable Galactic Heroes style Indy figures) but you know I will be checking the shelves next week!

Also, the Mighty Muggs wave with Princess Leia is out. AD managed to snag her for me and she is adorable.
orangerful: (bsg pretend we know // demonqueen666)
So, most of today was spent organizing my shelves to accommodate the newest figures in my collection; the Star Wars Galactic Heroes Mustafar and Endor cinema scenes and the Battlestar Galactica figures. After much shuffling and over-thinking (so, is this the prequel shelf, the Empire shelf? what am I trying to say with this arrangement?), here is the end result.

WITH PICTURES! )

Galactic Heroes collectors on my f-list, it is time to go to Target!

I just picked up the Mustafar and Endor Galactic Heroes packs at our Target. They were hidden on the end cap display! I snagged the last Ewok pack, but there were two Mustafar packs left. Right now, they are $20 each.

I'm so excited, I haven't bought any Star Wars figures in awhile! It says on the box that it folds out into a playset. I'm totally doing that.

Anyway, get thee to a Target! Snag that adorable Preggers!Padme and Paploo!
orangerful: (star wars figures // spitefairy)
Oh other Galactic Heroes collectors (pokes [livejournal.com profile] jellibean and [livejournal.com profile] jackieocean) we have a cuteness alert!

4 new exclusive sets were announced by Hasbro for this year!

First - the repack of the Millenium Falcon. Luckily I have this from when it FIRST came out so I do not have to go inside Wal-Mart and search for it, huzzah!

Toys R Us is getting a Rancor set and AT-RT set in July. I have a soft spot for Rancors, the original was one of my favorite Star Wars toys as a kid.

Target gets the Speeder Bike Chase - EWOKS! Looks like I'll have duplicates after I buy that set but who cares!

Also at Target - Battle on Mustafar - I have all of those figures already EXCEPT for preggers!Padme. So now I must buy it because I can't not have a Padme. tsk tsk.

These last few don't appear to be exclusives. Vader and his Tie-Fighter, Dewbacks with troopers and Luke in a poncho, Obi-Wan and his starfighter, and an Arena battle set with that weird cat creature whose name escapes me! *deep breath* OMG! WANT!

Time to start hitting Target on a regular basis again - both of those sets are scheduled for the end of March. I had sort of stopped going because there hadn't been any new figures I wanted. But these are too good to miss! (especially since I missed a bunch that came out over Xmas. :(

oh WAIT! There's MORE!
Slave!Leia, Jar-Jar, Plo-Koon AND MORE JEDI!
orangerful: (star wars figures // spitefairy)
Toy Fair 2008 reports are rolling in from all over. And OMG so much stuff I must have!

First, the really good news - the Starbuck action figures does not look like total ass! There are new images of her and the rest of the upcoming line at Cool Toy Review.

I think I'm going to pass on the Razor figures. Not really a big fan of the Pegasus crew and the Gina Six doesn't look very good. Its like she has a totally different face mold than the current Sixes, which seems silly!

I am a bit concerned about how the Cylon is standing. I assume this means he has some balance problems. You'd think they would have made a stand for him.

New Caprica Sharon (the first Sharon in the series) looks like poo right now. Her neck is far too wide. Something is off with Dualla's face and I cant quite place it. I think it is too round. Other than that she looks okay. The likeness on Three/D'anna Biers is really good though.

I have been trying to resist the Might Muggs figures as they are adorable but large. But I think this next wave of Star Wars figures and the new Indiana Jones figures will break me. I mean, LOOK AT INDY AND HIS DAD! And Leia with her little round buns and Yoda with his Yodaness! Just adorable!

Titanium Die Cast Indy being dragged by a truck! Hehe. That's just too amusing. Adventures Heroes are still too cute and I still must have them.

Now, I wonder when any of these figures will actually hit the shelves...
orangerful: (star wars figures // spitefairy)
oooh [livejournal.com profile] jellibean, this is far too amusing - BBC Robin Hood action figures. Yes, your very own Robin to luv and squeeze and call your own!

The Sheriff's Castle Playset is also amusing.

The Heroes figures are do not look as bad as they did in the original promo shot I saw. Claire looks a lot like Claire. I still do not want them though I'm hoping they sell well enough to make it to the Series 3 line - come on Kristen Bell Elle action figure!

Absolutely no pics of the second wave of BSG figures. I want to know if Starbuck looks less crap! Doesn't really matter as according to the DST site, the toys have been bumped back...gives me time to figure out where this first wave will live...(and I'll post picture and comments about them soon too, promise!)
